The sound team controls what you hear at church. They do record every 10:45am Worship service, and some 8:15am services. If you'd like to order a recording, please contact the office at office@irwinfirstumc.org or drop off a note in the box on the table in the narthex with your name, number, $1.00, what date, and what service. We use Peavey's Architectural Acoustics 24 (AAM 2443) sound board, Denon-T625 as the CD player, and Marantz-CDR300 our CD recorder. The sound team is in charge of the sound board both services. If you only are able to work on service, and not the other, that's fine. Dianne makes the schedule and asks availability. Please make sure you are at the board around 30 minutes before the service. For example, if you are working the board for the 8:15am service, you you should be there around 7:45am to do the pre-service set-up, and start the pre-service music. If by some chance you cannot make it, please call the church and let them know to try to find a replacement. You are in charge of setup (get out mics and distribute, check batteries, check with pastor about service events, check with Dianne about music needs). PLAN to stay after 10:45 AM service to close up everything (collect and put mics away, file burned CD, return CDs used in service to Dianne, close and lock sound station). If you are comfortable running the board alone, please talk it over with your scheduled partner to decide if one of you can sleep in, sit elsewhere, etc. YOU EACH need to let Dianne know when you feel comfortable doing this. Making this schedule around singing/ringing/playing/nursery duties/"extracurricular" activities has been difficult. As always, let her know if you have a problem with your scheduled times. Trade off as needed. Just let the office know. Manuals for the Equipment we use can be downloaded by clicking the piece of equipment below: Click here to download the most recent version of the schedule. Interested in joining the audio team? Contact Dianne at mediaministry@irwinfirstumc.org or the Sound Leader. |
