Do you can you juggle?

Well, life certainly seems like a juggling act to me at times.  I suspect it is to a lot of people.  We juggle our time between family, work, church, and me time.  We juggle our money between family, bills, recreation, and charitable organizations like church.  And then we juggle those things within those things.  For instance, My children need my time so how much time do I give Tommy as compared to Lucy?  Most times the circumstances will dictate it but not always.  How much money do I spend on my charities and how much do I save for my family's vacation or for the new car?  Perhaps I can make a partial payment this month so that I will have enough money left for that night out with my spouse.  Occassionally we drop the ball.  We overspend or don't save enough.  Perhaps we stay too long at work and miss supper with the family when it wasn't really necessary.  Ooops!

Life can be very confusing, frustrating, arduous, and fragile.  It is a blast when things go our way!  Perhaps you are juggling a lot of things right now and you are growing weary.  Food for thought:  Matthew 6:25-34 tells us not to worry because worrying doesn't help one little bit.  No matter how much you worry it doesn't change anything except to wear you out.  It also tells us in verses 33, 34 "But seek FIRST His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough troubles."  So prioritize your time, money, talents so that the first of all that goes to the kingdom (do ministry, support the church, read the bible, pray).  Then what you have to juggle will be a lot less and lighter.  You will feel good about life if you seek Jesus first every day.  It is that simple.  Try it and you will see.  Oh, occassionally we still drop a ball.  But that is okay.  You just pick it up and begin again.  No shame in that.  The reall shame is in not trying to get it right.  Trust in Jesus and ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you in ALL that you do.

God loves you and so do I,

Pastor Bruce
