I have missed you. Guess what? Nobody's fault but my own. I have been remiss in doing this blog. I apologize. Yep, I am sorry for waiting so long to blog. I have been busy, very busy with ministry and life. The wind was blowing the wrong way, the sun was shining in my eyes, I was tired, distracted, confused, blah, blah, blah. Lots of excuses and not one of them any good. I must do better, be better and more committed to keeping my promises as a pastor and person. Please forgive me.
Come to think of it I sound like a person who hasn't been in church for a while. I hear all kind of excuses of why people have not been in church, and quite frankly they sound like my excuses for not blogging. The big difference is that I have offended a person but the person who doesn't attend church has offended God. Oh, there are some good excuses to be sure, but there are many more that are lame. Galatians 6.7 (NIV) "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. All of us must do better at worshiping the Lord our God for He alone is worthy. Jesus gave everything to save us. Everything. He loves us and we should love Him back. After all if we say we are Christians then the proof is in the pudding, isn't it? One day we will meet our Maker and then what we will say about how we treated Him here on earth? Lame excuses won't cut it. So lets apologize, repent of turning our backs on God and church, and do better. We will be glad we did because as it says in James 4.8 "Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." Ok, I am preaching to the choir, so to speak, and I am preaching to myself. Praise the Lord in person, online, and no excuses. We can fool each other, but, again, we cannot fool God. See you in church. God loves you and so do I.
